ABOUT ME

I have thought about how to write the intro for weeks now…and I still don’t have a clue of what I’m supposed to write an intro to a blog. All I know is that, I am on a journey to live my life in a way that I’ll be proud of one day when I’m old and look back, I believe with my whole heart that we can live a simple, peaceful, fulfilling and satisfied life amidst the total chaos and drama that’s happening around us. It sucks you into its dark trap and keeps you there. It’s up to us to decide to live otherwise. WE NEED TO MAKE THE CHANGE, no one else will do it for us. We complain constantly about everything, we rush everywhere, it’s a never-ending circle.

So this is my journey to Hygge ( (/ˈhjuːɡə/ HEW-gə or /ˈhuːɡə/ HOO-gə) a Danish and Norwegian word which can be described as a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.) or to live more hygge for that matter.

In both Danish and Norwegian, hygge refers to “a form of everyday togetherness”, “a pleasant and highly valued everyday experience of safety, equality, personal wholeness and a spontaneous social flow”.

The noun hygge includes something nice, cozy, safe and known, referring to a psychological state.

Collins English Dictionary defines the word as “a concept, originating in Denmark, of creating cozy and convivial atmospheres that promote well-being”.

Ok, so now you know what it means (and how to pronounce it) follow me on a journey to slow a bit down, take it easy, smell the roses, create hygge ambience in your home and life, connect more with the people in your life that matter and simply relax and enjoy your life.
